SpamCure Tech-Support FAQ

Does SpamCure really eliminate all spam?
SpamCure will eliminate virtually all unsolicited commercial emails. Most of our customers have experienced a reduction of spam by over 95% with less than 1 in 1,000,000 false positives.

How does the service work?
email coming from the Internet first passes through the SpamCure server before entering your existing mail servers. Our filters examine the email to determine if it is spam and then marks it as such. You decide what should happen with the spam (delete it, review it, route it to a special folder, etc.)

Which emails does the system filter?
As spam only comes from the Internet, Mail-Filters only checks emails coming from the Internet.

What about internal email?
There is no need to have internal email checked for spam. We believe that all messages generated internally should be safe from spam. Any spam sent internally should be a matter between Human Resources and the employee.

Will I still get spam?
Spammers are constantly looking for ways to beat the system and our filters. There are times when a new technique is used and a spam can get through. We are constantly monitoring for new methods and are updating the service continually.

I received spam that was not marked as spam, what happened?
This is most likely the cause of a new technique that the spammers are using. Please forward the message to spam@mail-filters.com we will make sure that our filtering system is updated to prevent this message from getting through in the future.

I received an email that was marked spam when it wasn't, what happened?
Some times legitimate emails look like spam to our filters and it will be marked as such. We recommend, at first, that all questionable emails be screened before being deleted. Please forward the message to notspam@mail-filters.com we will make sure that our filtering system is updated to prevent it from being filtered in the future.
